A Russian brother says

"... the video posted on You-Tube 26 June showing a congregational mob led by a really virulent Orthodox priest bitterly harassing and bullying a peaceful Evangelical tent with Christian literature. All that happened in the outskirts of Sevastopol - a big city at the Black Sea. One starts asking themselves what might happen in this wretched country if the Orthodox were given all the power they've been seeking for centuries and they're naturally craving for at present too.

I'm sending this to you just to help you become more and better informed on the true face of the leading traditional Russian OC, the clip is particularly valuable because everything it depicts and testifies to is clear of itself and there's no necessity either to know Russian or to have a translation of what you see."

Good grief, it's like something out of the Middle Ages.

They bring their children with them. And the people nearby just watch. :(

I suppose they thought they were cleansing the temple or something.

Yes, the evangelicals behaved superbly.

Given the name of the TV channel on the tent reads 'Надия' or 'Hope', I would identify the group as the Seventh Day Adventists.

The video was captured in the city of Sevastopol, Balaklava Raion, Ukraine.

I think the Russian Adventists are not allowed to have their own TV channel, and so they broadcast from Ukraine. Be it as it may, I am sure it takes some courage to preach the Gospel both in Russia and Ukraine.

Greetings Evangelion,

Yes, the evangelicals behaved superbly.

Given the name of the TV channel on the tent reads 'Надия' or 'Hope', I would identify the group as the Seventh Day Adventists.

Oh wow! I had no idea they were even in Russia.

I spoke to a SDA in Russia a few years back and she said that the SDAs made many converts in the early days after the collapse of the USSR. She said they were exciting times. She and her husband and children were SDAs and their son travelled to USA and had some contact with the SDAs there.

Kind regards
Trevor
